Hulk Hogan has passed

Yup they announced it on the radio this evening. Apparently early reports say it was a natural heart attack.

Such a shame, he was a real bigger-than-life character! A true 'Cult' character and originator of Hulkamania.
 
They seem to be dropping like flies this week. Along with Ozzy and the Hulkster, Chuck Mangione also passed.

I was never all that much of a wresting fan, but Hogan was pretty massive on that scene.

'Hulk Hogan' was more than just a wrestler. He managed somehow to make himself a world-wide celebrity.
Ask anyone, anyone, not even a wrestling fan, to name a top wrestler, and they would all say 'Hulk Hogan'. Simply because he had put himself out there and made himself a lot more than just the sport or a sportsman.
 
Hogan was my fucking childhood hero. I watched him beat Iron Sheik for the title and am still a wrestling fan 40+ years later.
