The Best AI Model I've Found Isn't Free or NSFW...

The one downside of leaving Windows for Mac is being unable to render AI locally. Most apps and models are Windows-only. The only Mac app I'm familiar with is called Diffusion Bee, but support for it is lackluster and its UI is unintuitive. Consequently, I've had to relegate myself to web-based services. Unfortunately, the best AI model I've found isn't free or NSFW, so I've had to be extra-creative and think outside the box to come up with text prompts that won't return ToS alerts. Nevertheless, it will not generate nudity and provocative clothing is a no-no.

The model I'm referring to is Google's Imagen 4, and it's available on Krea.ai with a subscription. Krea isn't news to most anyone here who uses AI, but to those of you not familiar with it, their Basic plan is $10/month which only allows 126 image generations using Imagen. If you run out, you can buy additional compute packs for as little as $4.99 for 2,000 compute units. Each Imagen image costs 114 units, and Krea generates two images at a time with that model, so I wound up spending an extra $130 so I could experiment with ideas. The cost has been worth it though, because Imagen is the only model I've found anywhere that offers the most accurate prompt adherence and highest visual quality I've seen without a ControlNet or inpainting - I understand Krea offers a ControlNet interface via their RealTime generation mode, but I've yet to learn how to use it. Thankfully, a very close friend - he's like a brother - was generous enough to gift me a year's subscription to Krea Max for my birthday, which offers nearly 2,000 Imagen images/month for $575/yr ($48/month), so now I've got plenty of time and units to play with.

I'll start posting work in the AI galleries soon.

I agree. Tried the Imogen option a few times and loved the results, but the cost kept me from using it more. It's a blessing that Krea doesn't allow for NSFW because if they did I would be broke and homeless, LOL
I still use the Flux option on Krea all the time and since my GPU is on it's last legs, use MimicPC which has Forge and Foocus options for pretty cheap to edit any Krea images with inpainting.

Look forward to seeing your Imogen images

Good point. ;D

Remind me again how that works? Do you just tell Flux to generate the skimpiest* outfits Krea will allow and then have MimiPC remove them through inpainting?

* skimpiest, meaning not much material you have to mask for MimiPC to remove.

I usually have them wear a tan bikini because it's small and easy to inpaint out if I want total nudity. I then load it up in Fooocus and inpaint it out, usually adding bigger breasts as well since it's hard to get Krea to increase chest size no matter now creative you get with the prompts.

MimicPC allows you to add Checkpoints and Loras also, so I usually use this checkpoint with Fooocus https://civitai.com/models/153568?modelVersionId=750893

Llooks like I'm not quite ready to put my PC out to pasture... I'm glad MimicPC exists for folks without the hardware to create AI locally, but I'm not particularly keen on having to use multiple paid services, so I'm going to use Krea for base images, and then Fooocus to inpaint them locally.

Thanks for the link to that checkpoint. It's already proven quite handy for turning a couple PG-rated test images into R-rated wonders.
