A dream that gave courage.

Even today, many years later, I fondly remember a dream that gave me the courage to make a decision.

I went to bed feeling anxious. Tomorrow I would have to take a stand or disappear into the bleating herd as a nameless follower.
I couldn't fall asleep and tossed and turned restlessly in a half-sleep. Somehow, without noticing, I fell asleep. Subliminally, almost imperceptibly, I saw in a dream the smiling face of a girl, or perhaps a very young woman, with large, bright, expressive eyes. The image, which quickly faded away, was accompanied by a soft giggle, or perhaps a soft, pleasant laugh.

With this image in my mind, I woke up and was sure of the decision I had to make.

By the evening, I had a few fewer friends, but I had also gained friendships that still exist today, many years later.

As much as I tried some nights to see that lovely face again in a dream, I never succeeded.

About the picture:
Today, years later, I have tried to realize the dream in a picture using the possibilities of AI and photo programs. I only knew that the face was on the right side of my dream field of vision. That it was slightly cloudy and somewhat blurred. However, I can still remember the expressive, radiant eyes very well. But I no longer know whether I dreamed in color or black and white. That's why I colored the picture very sparingly.

I wish there was a way to record dreams and play them back whenever you want. No matter how hard I try to remember details from a great dream, it still fades
