Stranglings and Resolutions (Workflow Update and Test Images)

STRANGLINGS

After thorough testing and repeated failure, I've concluded that my current AI model of choice, Nano Banana Pro, can't do ligature stranglings. It can't even generate a decent ligature pose. I'm hopeful that will change with future updates. Until then, I'm done trying to bend it to my will.

It does, however, produce fantastic looking chokeholds, neck grabs, and hand gags, and I am absolutely thrilled about that.

RESOLUTIONS

As much as I love NB Pro's visual fidelity, it is a rather expensive model. While I also love that it supports native 4K output, Krea charges 238 credits per image at that resolution, which means I burn through credits fast while refining my prompts to get images I can use. My Max plan gives me 60,000 credits per month for $575/yr. I crunched the numbers this morning and have spent 130,000. The other 70,000 were from compute packs I bought for an extra $55 after expending my monthly allotment. Krea automatically generates 2 images at a time. I've generated 546 images, and only have 48 across 7 published projects to show for it.

Thankfully, Krea also offers output options for NB Pro at 1K and 2K, and they are much more reasonably priced at 119 credits. Starting next month, I'll be using 2K as a cost-saving measure, and I think you'll agree the difference in visual quality is negligible. The tests below are all in 2K:

Agreed, nice choke hold!
Yeah, I rarely go over 2K, to many hoops and expensive to justify it

I tried doing some wire strangling videos and it was a futile attempt, probably a combination of the prompts and the tech,. I found that even if I have a starter image with skin indentations, the AI gets rid if them instead of enhancing them.
