If you create an account where the user name is a series of random letters, the email address is another series of random letters and numbers and is gmail, and the IP you are creating the account from is a VPN address noted for spam, it is going to be rejected without apology.

To me it appears to be modeled after Little Big/Oliver Tree/Tommy Cash, but it is the same neck of the woods, and they do sport the Oliver Tree memorial bowl haircut in that.

We have a number of people equating "weird" music with "bad" music (whoever allowed Leonard Nimroy and William Shatner to sing should be shot).

Weird music to me means unusual, not "Stick an ice pick in my ear, I don't want to hear anymore".

There is some overlap I guess...

Maybe there's a bit of that, but I pretty much grew up on the 70's-80's German media and there's definitely a lot of that vibe present. So I think it's just Germans being Germans.

Also, Tommy Cash has a video that's clearly somewhere in post-communist Europe


So maybe it's just convergent evolution. I.e. you wanna show something wacky, you do the Borat thing and just look slightly eastward. You'll find something inspirational for sure. Or it'll find you.
