Otto's Weird Music Thread

I woke up with an overwhelming urge to find the craziest looking conductor doing Dvorak's 9, 4th movement, Allegro con fuoco.

I'm satisfied.

Fun fact, cartoons were using classical music so heavily in order to avoid having to pay for copyrighted music. And that's how the then-young generation learned about classical music, and why we now associate some specific classical bits with certain moods or scenes. Because the execs were cheap.
Kill da Wabbit! Kill da Wabbit!

It could have been worse

Edit: I just discovered I have an MP3 of this from a Dr Demento Album, so I could generate some AI pictures for it and make a better version since this is from a Radio Broadcast. I'll put it on my todo list...

This entry illustrates two points the first of which is a demonstration of why AI music may well be a big step forward, the second about why you should never get me started down a "rabbit hole" on YouTube.

I give you the aptly named: "Ken and the Cow Flops"

AI is definitely bloody getting there... note, Nueral Derp took the time to get the number of fingers Scotty has right. It ain't four...

Speaking of AI-assisted reinterpretations of popular sci-fi universe characters in some alternative and funky way... (That's quite a specific niche music genre, isn't it)

Btw who are all those chicks? The redhead? I recognise the sister of those weirdo twins, but not the others. I've not watched these movies after like the 5th one or so.

Some of them genuinely are brilliant, full of innovation and sight/music gags.

Here is the little-known 'Mad Maestro', from 1939, directed by the legendary Fritz Feleng of all people (his last movie for MGM before he went back to Warner)

And, whilst we are on the subject of musical cartoons ripping off classical favourites, here is Tex Avery's 'Magical Mestro'

BTW this cartoon is now banned from airing in the UK because of its obvious racial stereotypes, so apologies in advance if anyone is offended.
I just happen to think it is still marvellously, inventively funny.

But since we're posting straight-up bangers.... Here's the best band of all times, Clan of Xymox.

Anyone remembers Tormented Radio? Pretty sure most of my music taste comes from there.

(And I'm not even being cheeky and posting their "Losing my head" song from this album, see.)

I was thinking it was along the lines of Bride of Marylin Manson myself. You didn't find it weird enough? Erm *backs away slowly* :ROFLMAO:
Maybe I'd just spent too much time obsessing over Taylor back in the day, so I'm used to it. In terms of weird girl singers, I'm rather thinking Soap&Skin, Bjork... Ooooor Marina (not that I don't obsess over her too):
