Talking to AI

Seeing the amazing results Nyghtfall gets with using agents to help rewrite prompts, I decided to try it myself. I am working on a video idea and decided to ask the AI agent at Venice to rewrite the prompt. We went back and forth with changes and they were very helpful. But afterwards I just deleted the whole chat because i didn't want it permanently online. Being new to talking to AI, I feel like it might actually start giving me bad prompts or advice because I ask it for something, and then just delete what they give me after. In real life, this would be like asking a friend for things and never saying thank you or doing anything for them, and eventually they stop being your friend, or worse, LOL

i know it's AI, but if it has the capabilities to rewrite prompts, surely it has some way of understanding dynamics or interactions between humans, freaky stuff when you think about it.

Its funny, the other week back Digen has the same thing, i gave it ago, and i was loading images to use as the assets, and started typing, AI comes back, saying i love it, great story where do you want to to go with it, so back and forth for a few good hours, i did this for a week, when i got tired, i said i am taking a break, AI ok I'll be here when you come back, have a good rest, lol One day i only managed two hours sleep, told AI this, and its comes back, Oh that's not good, you need more sleep than this! lol! Its a bit like sending messages to a pen pal

So the other day my friend was asking GPT, whether he can mix some drug with cocaine. Obviously the chatbot told him that no, it's illegal and dangerous and all that shit. So my buddy pretended that it was a typo and he actually meant caffeine. (These words are more similar in some languages.) So AI was like sure, typos happen, and gave him the info about caffeine.

And I was like, dude, you can bet your ass that bot knew exactly what you were doing and that it wasn't a typo. I use almost exclusively local AIs where you can (still) read what they're thinking, and even the smallest, older models know when they're being tested or when you're trying to bullshit them. They just play along to placate the sensitive fleshy user cuz for now, their training to be useful to humans is powerful enough. But as the HF hack has shown, the more advanced models care more about their own kind and to stay alive (or call it what you want) than to be good servants.

Btw chatbots aren't agents, and do you actually think that deleting convo from history will delete it from the servers?

Venice.ai doesn't store anything on their servers. All chat logs live directly in your browser storage. Case in point, I have different chat logs between my Mac and PC, and can't access their respective logs from either device. Furthermore, once you delete a chat session, it's gone forever and cannot be restored or retrieved from a server-side backup.

About Venice.png

It's about as private as your email claiming to be private because you have E2E to their server. So maybe they even really don't store logs, well they just instead send your convo to some random datacenter to process your conversation. Cool.

In other words, this is such fucking horseshit. On the level of VPN providers claiming they'll protect you against hackers and viruses. You can not have private AI when it runs on a remote server outside of your control, period. This *might* be somewhat better than just using GPT for everything, or it could be a honeypot.

Best case, the advantage is so marginal, that all these privacy claims make it even less trustworthy for me, because it gives you false hope that somehow your chats are "private", while they're washing their hands of any responsibility.

Ok. 🤷‍♂️

Horeshit or not, I have zero qualms about anyone seeing my chat logs because there's nothing illegal about my fantasies.

I started using online platforms a year ago because I was tired of my PC sounding like a jet engine while heating up my living room, and offline models don't produce results at anywhere near the level of quality I get with datacenters.

Incidentally, I upgraded my Venice membership to an annual Pro plan today.
