The other day I found myself revisiting Dreamlight3D's YT channel out of what felt like a mild interest in returning to Daz and accepting its limitations so I can continue fueling my need to create art. Dreamlight posted a video in January to promote a new collection of Cyberpunk-inspired video packs they released at the time. The music they used really caught my attention, so I checked the video description for the source and learned they used Suno.com. I've heard of Suno before, but the song Dreamlight wrote with it finally piqued my curiosity well enough to check it out, so I opened a free account.
My favorite kind of music is down-tempo electronic, which is what Dreamlight used for their piece. I've often fantasized about being a musician, but numerous attempts to learn various instruments have taught me that I don't have a musical bone in my body. So, I decided to see how well Suno would blend my fondness for business women in peril and my love for electronic music, and had it write me a song about a hitman who tracks down a business woman and strangles her with a wire ligature. I prompted the idea for the lyrics and style of music and used their free AI tools to flesh them out. The resulting song left me completely gob-smacked, and is one of the best tracks I've ever heard in my life. The melodies it created for the chorus are my favorite parts. It's called "Silk Line".
Thankfully, I'm much more visually oriented, so I have no concern about spending money on advanced features to create AI music, but what Suno did with this project is so fucking amazing that I wanted to share.
