Anime

Saint Oniisan
Jesus and Buddha decide to take a vacation…. In Japan
Here they are in a sauna and meet a Yakuza.

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu

Sousuke, the main character, grew up as some kind of elite child soldier with excellent military education. Unfortunately non-military common sense was obviously not part of his education. An anti-terrorist organization recruits him and makes bodyguard of high school girl Chidori.

While the anime itself has a more serious tone, the Fumoffu season was pure slapstic.

Ghost In The Shell Innocence

Let's start with the intro:

Batou gets ghost hacked

Cyberpunk Yakuza

The dangers of being on a quest with an elf girl whose life expectancy is measured in millennia. (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End)

That time I got reincarnated as a slime.
Or: When you die and a AI manages your reincarnation, what could possible go wrong?

Hellsing Ultimate (the original) Alucard and Integra on the Phone

I like that comment by sefieezephiel9851:
Integra: hardcore Dom
Alucard: aggressive sub
Walter: submissive sub
Seras: Just a regular police girl who is horrified by all the fetish stuff

MM doesn't hold any punches, that's for sure. I don't really like anime, but MM is one of my favourite media of any kind. It has the typical tropes, but works with them in a smart way so it's more like a subversive deconstruction. That's something I always appreciate. There's still some stuff I found a bit dumb... I think you'll see what I mean when you watch it... But well, can't have everything. Still worth it.

EL in comparison, tends to be overtly dramatic, and so it ends up being kinda campy, IMO... In contrast I'd say MM is just well mature. I especially liked how the plot clicks in retrospect, so you'll want to rewatch it again right away. Or at least I have, I like when stories do that. Maybe someone more familiar with the tropes wouldn't see it that way, idk.

The music is great too...

I recommend the series version. There's also a dual movie version, but I think that leaves out a lot. I've seen people say it's more concise, but for first time viewing I'd say the series works better. It's not very long anyway. Then there's also another movie which takes place after the main series. I found that one pretty meh honestly, but as fan service it kinda works.
