This is a Sweedish band called Royal Republic that's been around since 2007 and apparently is pretty big in Europe. The face makeup is new this year it seems, but I really liked this video and yes, it is weird enough to be here. My introduction to this band was this video (thanks YouTube) and frankly I was surprised to see how big a following the band had since it is a quirky little video. Anyway...

Here is the Finnish heavy rock group Lordi. They actually won Eurovision back in 2006 with this entry, interestingly the only time such a heavy metal 'dark' rock group has ever won the competition...
